Outpatient Therapy Payment
Medicare payment for outpatient therapy is for those individuals who do not meet the Medicare home health definition of homebound. Medicare pays for this service identically whether the individual receives this outpatient therapy at an outpatient therapy provider clinic such as Peak Performance or Cooper County Hospital.
Medicare pays 80% of the claim. The remaining balance is billed to the individual's Medicare Secondary Insurance policy or to the patient.
